I¹²³ scintigraphy of the thyroid gland. There was a strong uptake corresponding to the tumor in the right lobe detected on the ultrasonography. A nonsuppressible uptake was also observed throughout the remaining thyroid gland, thus suggesting underlying Graves’ disease. The total uptake percentage of I¹²³ for four hours was approximately 24% (range: 4–16%).
