(a) The tumour is composed of small-cells with round to fusiform shape, scanty cytoplasm with fine granular nuclear chromatin, absence of nucleoli, and with high mitotic activity (H & E; ×200). The tumour cells were immunohistochemically positive for (b) cluster of differentiation 56 glycoprotein, (c) synaptophysin (a neuroendocrine marker) (×200), and (d) CgA (×200).
