CMV-DNA was quantified from whole blood using the Cobas-Amplicor-assay (Roche Diagnostics) with a clinically relevant detection limit of 450 copies/mL. A cut-off of CMV-specific CD4+ T-cells of ≥0.05% was considered positive.
