Discrete Dynamics in Transportation System
Description
Urban transport system is a dynamic, diverse, random, complex system. This special issue aims to foster links between basic and applied research relating to discrete dynamics modelling of transportation system. Papers submitted to this special issue will contribute to the application of mathematical methods and computer modelling or should be the representative study in the field of transportation research.
Therefore, we invite authors to submit original research and review articles that seek discrete dynamics theory, model, and methods in transportation system. We are particularly interested in articles proposing and studying novel dynamic and diverse models to reveal the mechanism of transport system operation. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Intelligent transportation system (ITS)
- Dynamic problem in urban transport system
- Transit and rail systems operation
- Application of chaos in traffic flow
- Agent-based modeling in transportation
- Discrete and stochastic theory of transport system
- Vehicle active safety and intelligent vehicle
- Discrete optimization methods in traffic system
- Traffic operations, management, and control
- Energy, transport policy and economics
- Driving behavior and driver assistance system
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ddns/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
