BMI: body mass index, defined as the weight in kilograms divided by the square of the height in meters. BMI is classified into 4 groups: lean (BMI < 18.5 kg/m2), normal (18.5 kg/m2 ≤ BMI < 23 kg/m2), overweight (23 kg/m2 ≤ BMI < 25 kg/m2), and obese (BMI ≥ 25 kg/m2).
