The combination of miR-200c, miR-210, and miR-143 could discriminate MPM from a range of adenocarcinomas. (a) The expression of miR-143, miR-200c, and miR-210 in MPM and a range of adenocarcinomas were measured by qRT-qPCR. MicroRNA expression was normalised to RNU44 and 48, expressed as 2ΔCT, and plotted on a logarithmic scale. The line within the boxes represents the median values, and the top and bottom of the boxes indicate the interquartile ranges. The whiskers demonstrate the upper and lower adjacent values for each disease group (, , and ). (b) Using the three-microRNA signature to differentiate MPM from adenocarcinomas was assessed by generating a ROC curve.
