Find the Essence through the Phenomena: Cardiovascular Diseases and Biomarkers 2019

Description

Biomarkers are often measured and evaluated to determine normal biological processes, pathogenic processes, or pharmacologic responses to a therapeutic intervention.

Our current issue focuses on the new advances in cardiovascular diseases and biomarkers. The goal of this special issue is to summarize new biomarkers in risk prediction, screening, diagnosis, progression, and prognosis of cardiovascular diseases; measurement relevance of biomarkers addressing specificity, sensitivity, and biological variation of these biomarkers; and the role of biomarkers in evaluation and guidance of drug therapies. This issue will let our readers better understand the importance of biomarkers in cardiovascular diseases.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • Advances in serum biomarkers and cardiovascular diseases
  • Advances in imagine biomarkers and cardiovascular diseases
  • Advances in anatomical biomarkers and cardiovascular diseases
  • Advances in therapeutic biomarkers and cardiovascular diseases
  • Metrology and biomarkers in cardiovascular diseases
  • Biomarkers in evaluation of cardiovascular toxicity from chemo- and radiotherapy
