CE inhibited adhesion of OSCC cell lines in vitro while GSE had variable effects. The addition of CE reduced CAL27 (a) and SCC25 (b) adhesion significantly at 70 (–30%, n = 216, P < .01) and 50 μg/ml (–19%, n = 216, P = .01), respectively. The addition of GSE, however, reduced CAL27 adhesion (not significant, n = 216, P = .10) while significantly increasing SCC25 adhesion (+36.6%, n = 216, P < .01).
