Cranberry and Grape Seed Extracts Inhibit the Proliferative Phenotype of Oral Squamous Cell Carcinomas

CE inhibited adhesion of OSCC cell lines in vitro while GSE had variable effects. The addition of CE reduced CAL27 (a) and SCC25 (b) adhesion significantly at 70 (–30%, n = 216, P <  .01) and 50 μg/ml (–19%, n = 216, P =  .01), respectively. The addition of GSE, however, reduced CAL27 adhesion (not significant, n = 216, P =  .10) while significantly increasing SCC25 adhesion (+36.6%, n = 216, P <  .01).
