Emodin affected the levels of ROS, Ca2+ and in WEHI-3 cells. Cells were cultured in 100 μM emodin for 0, 1, 3, 6, 12 or 24 h. Cells were harvested and resuspended in DCFH-DA for determining the changes in ROS (a), in Fluo-3/AM for staining of Ca2+ (b) and in DiOC6 for determining (c) as described in Section 2. * and *** were considered significant when compared with DMSO-treated control.
