Effect of electroacupuncture on SIRT1 protein expression in skeletal muscle of nondiabetic db/m and diabetic db/db mice. Electroacupuncture increased SIRT1 protein expression in both groups. Total protein obtained from quadriceps muscles of the mice was subjected to western blotting for SIRT1. α/β-tubulin was used as a reference protein. Data are shown as the mean ± SE of four mice in each group. versus db/m and db/db.
