Antitumor and HIV-1 Reverse Transcriptase Inhibitory Activities of a Hemagglutinin and a Protease Inhibitor from Mini-Black Soybean
Figure 7
(a) Antiproliferative effect of mini-black soybean protease inhibitor (♦) and hemagglutinin (●) on MCF-7 cells. Results are presented as means ± SD (). The inhibitor or lectin was incubated with 2 × 10−3 MCF-7 cells in a 96-well plate for 72 hours prior to incubation with MTT for 4 hours. The plate was centrifuged and the supernatant removed before addition of DMSO to dissolve the MTT-formazan at the bottom of the well. OD590 nm was then measured after 10 minutes. Background values were determined and subtracted before % inhibition values were calculated. Data points bearing the same letter represent statistically significant difference () when the data were analyzed by ANOVA followed by Duncan’s multiple range test. (b) Antiproliferative effect of mini-black soybean protease inhibitor (♦) and hemagglutinin (●) on HepG2 cells. Results are means ± SD ().
