Plaque reduction of quercetin, ferulic acid and kaempferol. RD cells were infected with EV71 (a) or CVA16 (b) at a titer of 100 pfu and simultaneously treated with quercetin, ferulic acid, and kaempferol at concentrations of 0, 0.1, 1, 10, and 50 μg/mL. After 1 h incubation, RD cells were covered with agarose overlay medium and incubated for 2 days at 37°C in a CO2 incubator. Finally, the cells were stained with 0.1% crystal violet. * value < 0.05; ** value < 0.01; *** value < 0.001 by Scheffe test.
