HPLC chromatogram of components was monitored at 230 nm. The geniposide, palmatine-HCl, berberine-HCl, and baicalein were detected and determined as a constituent of G. jasminoides, P. amurense, C. japonica, and S. baicalensis, respectively. The retention times of standards for the four constituent herbs were detected at 4.93, 28.54, 30.01, and 40.76 min. Four components in HRT were detected at 4.88, 28.92, 30.18, and 40.71 min.
