Cucurbitacin E Induces G2/M Phase Arrest through STAT3/p53/p21 Signaling and Provokes Apoptosis via Fas/CD95 and Mitochondria-Dependent Pathways in Human Bladder Cancer T24 Cells

Figure 1

The chemical structure of cucurbitacin E and its effects of cell viability on human bladder cancer T24 cells. Cells were treated with different concentrations of cucurbitacin E for 24 h (a) and 48 h (b) and then cells were harvested for calculated the percentage of viable cells as described in the Materials and Methods. Data are presented as mean ± S.D. in triplicate. a, , is significant different compared with the DMSO-treated control; b, c and d, , are significant different with 250, 500 and 1000 nM of cucurbitacin E treatment, respectively, by one-way ANOVA followed by Bonferroni’s test for multiple comparisons.
