Evaluation of Chinese-Herbal-Medicine-Induced Herb-Drug Interactions: Focusing on Organic Anion Transporter 1

<table>Effects of probenecid on (a) HQ- and (b) HL-induced cytotoxicity in MDCK/hOAT1 cells and control MDCK II cells, respectively. Both kinds of cells were seeded in 96-well plate and cultured for 48 hr. CHM extracts at 500 <i>μ</i>g/mL in the presence (dark column) or absence (open column) of 100 <i>μ</i>M probenecid were added into each well and cultured for another 48 hr. Cell viability was evaluated by MTT assay.
