Evaluation of OFE cytotoxicity in an animal model of allergic airway inflammation. Mice ( ) were injected (i.p.) with OVA for positive control (PC), a low dose of OFE (LOFE) or a high dose of HOFE. Negative control (NC) mice were injected with normal saline. During the establishment of the allergic airway inflammation model, mice were treated for 28 days with saline (NC and PC), 1000 mg OFE/kg body weight (HOFE, in 200 μL saline), or 100 mg OFE/kg body weight (LOFE, in 200 μL saline). After sacrifice on Day 40, organs were collected and weighed. Data are expressed as mean ± standard deviation. Significant decrease # compared to NC group mice.
