KXS stimulates the mRNA expression of neurotrophic factors in astrocytes. The mRNA expression levels of neurotrophic factors (NGF, GDNF, BDNF, NT3, NT4, and NT5) in astrocytes were analyzed. The astrocytes were treated with different formulations of KXS (0.5–50 μg/mL) for 24 hours. The mRNA was determined by quantitative PCR.
