Effect of A. satureoides hydroalcoholic extract on leukocyte-endothelial interaction in vivo. Animals received orally (1) sham (surgical manipulation without treatment), (2) vehicle (PBS/ethanol 10%), or (3) A. satureoides (100 mg/kg). After 1 h, LPS from E. coli 026:B6 (30 μg/40 μL) was applied topically into the mesenteric network, and the number of rolling and adherent leukocytes was quantified. (a) Number of rolling leukocytes. (b) Number of adherent leukocytes. Data are expressed as mean ± S.E.M. of 5-6 animals in each group. Statistical analysis was performed using ANOVA followed by Tukey’s test. and versus sham; and versus vehicle.
