Specific Dioscorea Phytoextracts Enhance Potency of TCL-Loaded DC-Based Cancer Vaccines

Effect of DsII from different Dioscorea species or strains on DC-activated T-cell proliferation. TCL-loaded DCs treated with DsII extracts at 100 μg/mL were used as stimulator cells. Splenic (a) CD4+ and (b) CD8+ T cells were obtained from syngeneic mice as responder cells. Ratios of stimulator cells to responder cells were set between 1 : 1 and 1 : 1000. T-cell proliferation activity is represented as fold over control (i.e., T cell only). Data represent the mean ± SE obtained from three independent experiments.
