Butein Inhibits Angiogenesis of Human Endothelial Progenitor Cells via the Translation Dependent Signaling Pathway

Effect of butein on cell migration of EPCs. Cells were seeded onto the upper chamber consisting of 8 mm pore-size filters and then treated with the indicated concentrations of butein in MV2 complete medium containing 10% FBS (a) or 20 ng/mL VEGF (b) as a chemoattractant in the lower chamber. Cells that invaded the filter were counted as mean ±SEM of five independent experiments. ^∗𝑃<0.05,^∗∗𝑃<0.0,  and ^∗∗∗𝑃<0.001 compared with the control group.
