Effects of ethanol extract of Butea monosperma (BM) on fasting blood glucose (FBG) level in type 2 diabetic rats. Values are means and standard deviations represented by vertical bars ( ). Fasted rats were given ethanol extract of BM (250 mg/kg, 500 mg/kg, and 1000 mg/kg body weight) or Glibenclamide (GC) (0.5 mg/Kg) by oral administration. Mean values marked with an asterisk (*) were significantly different from those of respective control rats ( ) (derived from repeated measures ANOVA and adjusted using Bonferroni correction).
