Effect of chloroform extract of seeds from C. papaya on the parasite burden (measured by qPCR) in DNA cardiac tissue from mice BALB/c infected with trypomastigotes of T. cruzi and treated with 45 dpi at doses 50 and 75 mg/kg of chloroform crude extract and 100 mg/kg of the mixture of the fatty acids identified in the crude extract. PBS and allopurinol (8.5 mg/Kg) were used as negative and positive control, respectively ( in each control group).
