The table shows the final logistic regression model after stepwise backward elimination procedure with the treatment group fixed in the model and nonrelevant confounders stepwise eliminated if exceeding the threshold  𝛼<0.10. The starting model included body mass index (BMI), number of pregnancies, age at menarche, serum estradiol at baseline, FSH at baseline, age, duration of amenorrhea, duration of climacteric complaints, and the KMI at baseline as putative confounders.
