HIPER reduced monocyte adhesion to TNF-α-activated HCAECs. HCAECs were treated with HIPER at a dose of 25 μL/mL for 3 h, before activation with TNF-α (1 ng/mL) for 3 h. HCAECs were then exposed to monocytes (1 × 10⁶ cells/mL) for 1 h after which nonadhered monocytes were removed and the percentage of adherent monocytes calculated.
