Deposition of collagen III was assessed by immunohistochemistry (). (a) shows that there was little deposition of collagen III in the sham group. (b) shows that there was extensive deposition of collagen III in the model group. (c) and (d) showed that QSKL and fosinopril suppressed expression of collagen III compared with the model group. Compared with the sham group, the IOD value of collagen III in the model group was upregulated. QSKL could decrease the IOD value of collagen III compared with the model group. The level showed no statistical difference between the fosinopril group and the QSKL group (, , other groups versus model group).
