Gene expressions in the hippocampal CA1 region. RT-PCR is used to measure the fold change in the gene expressions of (a) cAMP response element-binding protein (CREB), (b) brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), (c) B-cell lymphoma 2 (Bcl-2), and (d) Bcl-2-associated X protein (Bax).
