Curcumin Suppresses Intestinal Fibrosis by Inhibition of PPARγ-Mediated Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition

Curcumin reverses the reduction of TGF-β1-induced PPARγ and promotes nuclear translocation of PPARγ. IEC-6 cells were incubated with curcumin at the indicated doses for 24 hours or rosiglitazone for 1 hour followed by treatment with TGF-β1 for 7 days.
