Q1: (AnnexinV− FITC)<sup>−</sup>/PI<sup>+</sup>, necrotic cells or a few late apoptotic cells, mechanically damaged cells; Q2: (AnnexinV+ FITC)<sup>+</sup>/PI<sup>+</sup>, late apoptotic cells; Q3: (AnnexinV− FITC)<sup>+</sup>/PI<sup>−</sup>, early late apoptotic cells; Q4: (AnnexinV− FITC)<sup>−</sup>/PI<sup>−</sup>, live cell. Q3 + Q2 = apoptotic cells ratio.
