Evaluation of Alternative Methods to Assess the Biological Properties of Propolis on Metabolic Activity and Biofilm Formation in <i>Streptococcus mutans</i>

<div>Biofilm metabolic activity determined by the MTT method. The effect of polyphenol-rich extract of propolis in <i>S. mutans</i> cultures was quantified in 96-well microplates. The percentage of living biofilm cells was expressed as mean ± standard deviation.
