XFC triggers late apoptosis in ES-2 ovarian cancer cells. Human ovarian clear cell carcinoma cells (ES-2) were cultured and treated with increasing concentrations of XFC in serum-free media for 24 or 48 hours, followed by fixation, PI staining, and (a) data acquisition by flow cytometry as described in Section 2 to assess cell death phases. (b) Data analysis was also performed as described in Section 2 in order to assess levels of live cells, early apoptosis, late apoptosis, and necrosis.
