Adenine Inhibits the Growth of Colon Cancer Cells via AMP-Activated Protein Kinase Mediated Autophagy

Adenine inhibited the growth of colorectal cancer cells. HT29 cells and Caco-2 cells were treated with adenine for 24 (a) and 48 (b) hours. Cell viability was evaluated using the MTT assay. Assay was conducted in triplicate, and the data are presented as mean ± SD. compared with 0 mM adenine.
