Synergistic effect of Rg1 and TA3 on caspase-3 activation. (a) Cellular ROS levels in MG63 cells incubated with TA3 (6 μM) and/or Rg1 (250 μM) were analyzed via the DCF-DA method. ROS levels were not changed significantly by the treatment of TA3 and/or Rg1. (b) Quantifications of DCF-DA ROS assay. (c) The level of the uncleaved form of caspase-3 decreased further when the cells were treated with both Rg1 (250 μM) and TA3 (6 μM) than with TA3 (6 μM) alone while the uncleaved form of caspase-7 was not further affected by Rg1 (250 μM) and TA3 (6 μM) together than TA3 (6 μM) alone.
