Hepatoprotective Effects of the <i>Cichorium intybus</i> Root Extract against Alcohol-Induced Liver Injury in Experimental Rats

<div>Effects of Cii on ADH and ALDH activities in liver tissues of alcohol-induced rats. The activity of ADH and ALDH in liver tissues was determined by commercial reagent kits. CON: distilled water, EtOH: 40% EtOH, 2.5 mL/kg, ECL: EtOH + Cii low concentration, 2 mg/kg, ECH: EtOH + Cii high concentration, 10 mg/kg, and ES: EtOH + silymarin, 100 mg/kg. Data were expressed as mean ± S.E.M.
