Standardized Extract (HemoHIM) Protects against Scopolamine-Induced Amnesia in a Murine Model

Figure 4

Effects of HemoHIM (250 and 500 mg/kg, p.o.) on scopolamine-induced memory impairment in the passive avoidance test in mice. The results from the acquisition trial and retention trial were presented. Ninety minutes before Y-maze, mice were treated with HemoHIM (250 and 500 mg/kg, p.o.) or donepezil (1 mg/kg, p.o.) as a positive control. Memory impairment was induced by scopolamine treatment (1 mg/kg, i.p.). Thirteen different animals were used per group. The data are expressed as the mean ± S.E.M. Significant difference from scopolamine-treated group ( < 0.01,  < 0.05).
