Antiaging Active Natural Products

Description

Recently many diseases related to aging have been increasing because the aged population rapidly increases in the world. Aging brings many disorders like various kinds of cancer, sleeping problem, diabetes, senile dementia, Alzheimer disease, cerebral infarction, degenerative neural disease, cardiovascular problem, and so on. Therefore, the importance of antiaging active natural products has been increasing. Since the side effect by modern medicines for aged bodies frequently occurs, the therapeutic use of natural products like herb medicines and/or phytomedicines having antiaging activity has been expanding widely depending on the accumulation of evidence-based experiences. Traditional medicines especially have a historical background of thousands of years based on huge number of experiments for human bodies resulting in the real evidence-based complementary and alternative medicine, so that it becomes important to accumulate the knowledge of antiaging active traditional medicines too. For these aims, we invite authors to submit original research and/or review articles that promote the knowledge accumulation related to natural products having antiaging activities. Newly established assay system for antiaging active natural product will be accepted. Furthermore, the clinical therapy for disorders induced from aging using herbal medicines and/or phytomedicines is also welcome. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

Antiaging active natural products for:

  • Cancer
  • Metabolic disease like diabetes, osteoporosis, obesity, lipid disorder
  • Sleep problems
  • Central nervous system like dementia, neuron cell, memory, and learning
  • Cerebral infarction
  • Degenerative neural disease
