Arduino systems generally work at 5 V, but the MSP430 used in our EEG system is a microcontroller operating at 3.3 V–3.7 V If a TX/RX is directly connected, it may easily cause the MSP430 system to wear out or even overheat. (d) Therefore, between the two systems, the logic level converter presented here is used for voltage conversion.
