Effect of temperature on the synthesis of isopropyl ferulate. The esterification was performed for 3 h at specified temperature using isopropanol (100 mM) and ferulic acid (25 mM) in DMSO under shaking. A significantly higher (*) yield of isopropyl ferulate was recorded at 45 and 50°C in comparison to the other reaction temperatures using silica-bound biocatalyst ().
