The Time of the Insult/Triggering Event in Primary Osteosarcoma and Ewing’s Sarcoma of Bone as Determined by Incubation Period Modeling and Age Distribution of Such Malignancies

Single asymmetric peak distribution function fits for parosteal long bone sarcoma with the Pearson IV (a) and log normal (b) distributions. Although the of 0.77 is relatively high, visual observation of the fits demonstrates significant variability. After collapsing the age groups into 3-year spans, the fit is much better, with an of 0.96 for both the Pearson IV (c) and log normal (d) distributions.
