Thermodynamic Properties of Aqueous Species Calculated Using the HKF Model: How Do Different Thermodynamic and Electrostatic Models for Solvent Water Affect Calculated Aqueous Properties?

Figure 10

Calculated total elemental concentrations in the aqueous phase (1 NaCl mol/kg H2O solution at 600°C and 2 kbar) in equilibrium with granite (37 wt% albite, 30 wt% quartz, 21 wt% K-feldspar, and 12 wt% muscovite) from 0.1 to 600 water-to-solid ratio (W/S), using the JN91, SV14, and FE97 models for water dielectric properties and IAPWS95 for water volumetric properties. Calculations done with SV14 overlap those done with FE97.
