δ13CVPDB ‰ and δ18OSMOW ‰ of carbonates from Akatore Creek and Bruce Rocks, compared with the fields for primary metamorphic calcite and shallow hydrothermal calcite in the Southern Alps of New Zealand [10]. Remobilisation and recrystallisation of metamorphic calcite and precipitation at a lower temperature are interpreted to have caused an increase in δ18OSMOW ‰ (indicated by arrow).
