Six White Leghorn birds/group were immunized with 240 followed by 2400 normal (N) or altered (A) oocysts of E. tenella with a two-week interval (week 3). Control (C) birds that received sham inoculation (0) gained most but with no titers. Body weight gain/g and sera antibody titer production in group A versus group N showed significant difference; .
