SDC1 shedding is blocked in mut-SDC1 transfected IEC-6 cells. PMA was used to induce SDC1 shedding in IEC-6 cells after being transfected with wt-SDC1 or mut-SDC1 plasmid. (a) Protein levels and mRNA levels of SDC1 in the cell were measured by western blot and RT-PCR; GAPDH was used as the loading control (left).
