Improving the Specificity of EEG for Diagnosing Alzheimer's Disease

EEG may be used as a screening tool for early-stage AD, since EEG recording technology is inexpensive and available in most hospitals. At an early stage of AD, presymptomatic interventions (curative treatments) may be investigated. However, EEG is not yet a reliable diagnostic tool: the specificity of EEG needs to be improved.
