Two 62 m thick piezoceramic films are sprayed onto a 75-m thick stainless steel(SS) membrane to form two IUTs (upper pane). On the other side of the membrane and opposing each IUT, a grooved grating is made with electrical discharge machining (EDM) (lower pane). Each grating is composed of seventeen 0.3 mm wide, 0.03 mm deep, 10 mm long, and 0.6 mm equidistant grooves.
