Array gain using the calibration method as a function of the electrical separation ( ) between the elements of the nine-dipole planar array for a signal arriving from . The performance of the calibration method is dependent on the number of calibration points. Instability in the estimation of the coupling matrix yields erratic performance for 16 calibration points. Maximum gain is reached at lower frequencies as the number of calibration points increases.
