Example of morphological alterations induced by the treatment of living Hydra with CdTe QDs. Animals were incubated with increasing doses of TGA- and GSH-capped CdTe QDs, from left to right: 50 nM, 100 nM, 200 nM, 300 nM, 500 nM, 750 nM, and 1𝜇M over a period of 2 h and then imaged. Progressive morphological changes were scored from 10 down to 1, as previously described in[8].
