Day and Night GSH and MDA Levels in Healthy Adults and Effects of Different Doses of Melatonin on These Parameters

Day and night variation in malondialdehyde content in red blood cells after in vitro treatment with melatonin. The points (□) and (■) represent the effect of melatonin in diurnal and nocturnal blood samples, respectively. Significant variation was observed in diurnal-treated samples ( ), the response being pronounced at nanomolar doses. MDA content is expressed as nanomoles per millilitres of packed RBCs.
