Bim−/− endothelial cells and pericytes were more adherent. The adhesion of retinal wild-type (■) and Bim−/− (○) endothelial cells (panel (a)) and pericytes (panel (b)) to fibronectin, vitronectin, collagen type I, or collagen IV was determined as described in Section 5. Please note that Bim−/− vascular cells had increased adherence. These experiments were repeated twice with similar results.
