Supplementary Material

The Plasmon absorption peaks in the case of (Cs/Ag+)8 reduced by NaBH4 is almost same in intensity and broadness to that of(Cs/Ag)8 over quartz plate. This roughly quantifies that the concentration of silver is same in both the cases.

The increase in intensity of all the vibration peaks of chitosan on increasing number of layers indicates that chitosan has been repeatedly coated forming ultimately (Cs/citrate)8.
