One Step Photopolymerization of N, N-Methylene Diacrylamide and Photocuring of Carboxymethyl Starch-Silver Nanoparticles onto Cotton Fabrics for Durable Antibacterial Finishing

Table 1

Effect of irradiation time on the inhibition zone (mm) of S. aureus and E. coli. Synthesis conditions: DS = 0.2; CMS , 10 g/L; PI , 1 g/L; AgNO3 , 1 g/L; temperature, 40°C; time, 60 min; M : L ratio, 1 : 20; pH, 7. Finishing conditions: pad-dry-photocure, AgNPs colloidal solution only. Curing conditions: drying for 5 min at 100°C; UV curing for 15, 30, and 60 min. Washing conditions: Egyptol, 2 g/L; fabric : liquor ratio, 1 : 10; temperature, 50°C for 10 min.
